Flapjack Records digital is back again with another breakfast creation from Glasgow's That Peruvian Boy. Returning with his new EP, "The Head Nod EP Vol. 2", he gives us another slice of that delicious style which established him on the Flapjack Records menu. This time around the Peruvian boy wonder is using the whole stick of butter, trimming no fat, and packing in every calorie of jack that he can.

Grab yourself a seat and make sure your stomach is empty as you suck down a glass full of "Keep It Rockin". Next to a double chocolate malt drizzled with peanut butter, this tune cannot make you any fatter. The tune slurps up the solid beats, buttery bass line, and a deep jackin swirl of whipped cream to top off the mix. As it claims, this jam will definitely keep a sugery dance floor slammin.

Sometimes those special moments happen on a really hopping late night sweaty dance floor. You end up locking eyes with a beautiful lady, and you get this feeling inside. You think, oh my god I can spend the rest of my life with this person, and then you realize, nope, I think I'm just hungry and damn this track is really dope. That is exactly the feeling you get when you listen to "Connection".

To finish off That Peruvian Boy's two volume set is a nice vibey tune coincidentally titled "The Vibe". Sticking to the roof of your mouth like peanut butter, this track provides a long lasting lickety treat. It's a great way to conclude such a delectable dish, leaving you with a great after taste. If you want that long lasting freshness, get with "The Head Nod EP Vol. 2".

Right now they are featuring my interview as well as a brand new totally free track to peep and download that I made specifically for this. You can't get it anywhere else. I hope you guys dig it and thanks for all of your support over the last 5 years, which is when I got heavy into the bowls of House Music myself. I couldn't do it without all of your support. Flapjack Records is back with its 9th vinyl release! This next installment of Flapjack's tasty tantalizing delights is from Swedish meatball maker Emil Lanne. Born in Sweden, now residing in Brooklyn, NY, Emil has brought his family's super secret meatball recipe to the states only to improve upon it and tap into its creative power. It has been said this his family meatballs were the muse of the great Beethoven and DJ Super Greg. He has used them to dazzle us with his brand new meaty goodness of a record "The Cookin' In Brooklyn EP".

The first joint really goes well with potatoes. "Blow Your Horn" has dance floor sauce spooned all over it, making your ears water. Everything from the funky groove, filtered horn, and the driving vocal, this tune is shaker and a mover of meaty proportions.

"Hey Gurl", has that amazing favorite food potential. Its vocal hook gives you that feeling the first time you bite into some new uncharted dish and think holy shit this could be my new favorite food of all time. It's seriously that delicious.

"Do Me Right", has all the ingredients that make a meatball quite possibly the best food ever. The tune has a perfect mix of spices including funky guitar and bass lines, sugary sweet vocals, and meaty beats. All of this in packed into a bite sized morsel of musical munch.

To round out this meatball explosion, "Party Hardy", is the lingonberries and cream sauce that makes this meatball Swedish. This ball is filled with more meat packed in funky bass, guitars, keys, and party time breakdown that gets the kitchen cookin! Don't beat your meat on this one and make sure you grab a bowl full of "The Cookin' In Brooklyn EP".

So this is a really really really cool coincidence. I was searching online to get the contact info for the pressing plant where all Flapjack Records releases have been pressed: Archer Record Pressing in Detroit. During my Google search I happened to notice a video link there with Archer mentioned, so I decided to watch. The video is of a local Detroit hip hop artist named Waajeed filming how records are pressed while he is getting a 7" made of his own jams. Mike from Archer is talking him through the process of how the pressings are made first starting with the 12" press.

COINCIDENTALLY, on the 12" press is FLAP009: Emil Lanne - "The Cookin' In Brooklyn EP" in the middle of being pressed and they use that record and the stampers to show the camera how it all happens. Then Waajeed holds one of the FLAP009 records to his face and shows some love. I just thought this was totally awesome to randomly find that....so I really wanted to share that with you :)

Grab your fishin' rod and let's head down to the river and catch us Flapjack Records 10th vinyl release! Scrubfish attacks us with his first solo EP since his transformation from a fresh water fish to a salt water serpent. This fresh filet "The Lutefisk EP" is definitely the catch of the day with its super fresh sound. It's so hot we can't even put a price on it, so it's listed as market value in the price column on the menu.

Reeling in the first round , "The Jazzface" is a boneless cut of the finest fish that melts in your mouth with a drizzle of butter and a wicked bass line. Jazzy enough for the captain of this ship, and one scurvy dog away from a mutiny on the dancefloor.

"Holla If You Came To Funk" has pirates everywhere on a mad hunt for this booty. Chock full of funk and fish breath, this jam is cut throat on the dance floor and scales fish faster than a fat kid on a Twinkie. Watch out for those horns cuz you might go through a few lines try to pull em in.

Next up Scrubbers snags a remix of Chicago boys "Chop City DJ's - Time To Shake (Scrubfish's Circle K Remix)" which is a technologically advanced mechanism to make fish dance. This remix is so good that it won a guest spot on The Deadliest Catch and went on to win a daytime TV Emmy Award for its small role as background music in The Filet's Of Our Lives.

Filling the quota for this month's catch, "Testify To The Soul Provider" is so plentiful a dish that we have freezer warehouses in Japan filled to the ceiling with its funky fresh groove. Flash frozen and shipped daily to dance floors all over the world, this jam is to be enjoyed by everyone everywhere. As nasty as "The Lutefisk EP" tastes, it sounds even nastier out of a banging club system.

Hot off the entrails of their vinyl debut on Flapjack Records, Jackin' Box duo is back with more funk than you can shake a pixie stick at. Just when you thought the ice cream truck would be gone for the season, off in the distance you hear the looped sounds which send you running to the curb with any loot you can find, only this time two goofy Brits show up and they are blasting their new Flapjack Digital release the "Slap n Tickle EP". Their ice cream is good, but not for children.

The EP opens with a brand new take on your favorite flavor from their "Licker License EP""Jazz Bang Part 2" vinyl release, . You would think a remix would suffice, but no, this is a full on waffle cone with 3 scoops and all the fixins to keep you up all night on a swing house infused sugar high. You will have ice cream all over you face and a mess down your shirt once you get to stepping to this tune.

I just realized that I totally didn't write anything about the "Only U" track in the release write-up. What can I say, this track is so dope that nothing even needs to really be said about it. Buuuuut, now that I'm here I may as well tell you that listening to and playing this track will increase your sexiness by %500. Just put some stank on it!

"The Funk Pump" is what all the kids are doing on the corner after they get their goodies. It's the super slapping bass that drives the kids into a frenzy and often leaves their tongues stuck to roofs of their mouths. Stupid kids. This tune works great after any meal as a delectable desert.

The last lick of this sugary sweet EP is a tune called "Funky Time". This is the kind of time you will be having in your pants after you jive to this lickory lip soother. Something about good house music that makes you have to crap...must jar something loose. But it's nothing that a little bit more of the "Slap n Tickle EP" can't remedy.

We are back in business!

For the entire month of June I was touring the beautiful country of Italy. I drove all throughout the country from Rome through Umbria, Tuscany, the mountains of Garfagnana, all the way to the beautiful coast towns of Cinque Terre. I had no access to a computer and it was fantastic. The trip totally reset my brain, refreshed my soul, and gave me a really nice tan :)

SO....now I am back at it and there are plenty of great things on the way. Here is the scoop:

After many hangovers and oak barrel mishaps, the duo concocted the "Licker License EP" which hits hard in the chest and burns all the way down.

The first shot is the speak easy hit "Jazz Bang". This tune is exactly what it says. Jazz and Bang all packed into a tight little drink we called house track.

Flapjack Records takes us back over to Australia to meet up with Adelaide's house music's new food critics The House Inspectors. After much criticism I heard these guys made Tim Tams famous. These guys haven't been at it for that long, but have some kind of uber refined palette when it comes to fine house music creations. You can get a taste of what I am blabbering about with their new "Sliced n Diced EP" out now on Flapjack Records.

The first bit on the checklist is the soulfoodful tune "All The Love" ft. all star vocalist and sous chef Adaja Black. A good mouthful of this tune rolls off the tongue with it's amazingly tasty hook vocal that will make you sing praises to the gods who created taste buds, and sexy house music. This tune gives me a big rubbery one just thinking about it. Nothing some whipped cream couldn't stifle.

Next up is another soulfire skillet of house music munch called "Someway" which grabs you right in the pit of your stomach and makes you salivate like a dog. It's delicious vocal will get you singing and doing that goofy dance that little kids do when they have had too much sugar. You won't need any Red Bull to get you going when you hear this tune.

Not only to quench your thirst, but also double as a smooth laxative, Frankie J butters up "Someway" with his "Bad Bwoy Bump" remix. This tune has some bass that will rumble through to your bowels and clean your colon better than any store bought laxative could.

The last bit on the list is a plate of funk steak called "Pickin Up The Pieces". This bit grabs you right in the money and feeds the ravenous dogs of your burning loins with its up n jumping thump. A perfect beat for a treat.
