Flapjack Records digital releases has finally reached lucky #13 and to celebrate this, we present a phat strawberry cream filled release by Peruvian pie maker That Peruvian Boy, who hails from Glasgow oddly enough. Previously known for his restaurant management skills under the Cheap As Chimps moniker, That Peruvian Boy has smoothed out his pallet and has put together quite a collection of tasty pastry pumpers on his first of two new EP's coming on Flapjack Digital. "The Head Nod EP Vol. 1" caters to caterers everywhere with three new pie slamma jamma creations that go for the win.
Don't waste time with a fork or a spoon and just shove a piece of "How We Do It" right in your earhole. This is the jam ladies and gentlemen. The gem in the donut for all of those who like phat house jams. Low bass tones, and moving beats, mixed together to create a sweetness that can't be mimicked by no Splenda alternative. This is the real deal.
For those who favor savory over sweet, a giant slice of "Free Your Mind" is just right to satisfy your house cravings. Smooth silky chords, delicate, flaky, crusty beats, and a deep bass center always hits the spot. This slice is winning over the ears and stomachs of house dj's across the world and leaving none dissatisfied.
The last offering that that that That Peruvian Boy has to offer is a spicy treat called "So Hot". A slice of this with some Frank's Red Hot sauce will burn good on the way in, and burn on the way out as well if you know what I mean. But yeah, I put that shit on everything. Come and get your fill and phatten up your dj bag with the goods that satisfy all your house music cravings.

FLAP007: Jackin' Box - "Licker License EP" OUT NOW DIGITALLY EXCLUSIVELY @ BEATPORT
posted by Frankie J | Tue, May 25 | 9:11 AM | Permalink
And the beat goes on as Flapjack Records 7th vinyl release beats the prohibition laws and is distributed to gin joints around the globe. This big whiskey is brought to you by UK of age and already heavy drinkers Jackin' Box. After many hangovers and oak barrel mishaps, the duo concocted the "Licker License EP" which hits hard in the chest and burns all the way down.
The first shot is the speak easy hit "Jazz Bang". This tune is exactly what it says. Jazz and Bang all packed into a tight little drink we called house track.
"Clap Your Hands Together" is exactly what you will do after you suck down a 4 finger glass of this potent potion. The nose on this drink is through the roof and will find you sloshed on the dance floor making eyes at the plant in the corner.
The third drink "Right Back Jack", has a rejuvenating hip hop classic taste to it. It is memories in a glass and enough of them may make you travel back in time. Well at least that's what I call getting drunk: time travel.
The last sip, "Do It Some More", is the Alcoholics Anonymous group theme song. Once you hit this bottle you will be back on the wonder wagon with 3 wheels and two broken axels, but it will be a wicked good ride none the less. So don't be modest and drink up a good swill of the "Licker License EP" before the bottle is empty.

FLAPD12: The House Inspectors - "Sliced n Diced EP" OUT NOW EXCLUSIVELY @ TRAXSOURCE

Flapjack Records has sliced and ready to serve: FLAPD12: The House Inspectors "Sliced n Diced EP"
Flapjack Records takes us back over to Australia to meet up with Adelaide's house music's new food critics The House Inspectors. After much criticism I heard these guys made Tim Tams famous. These guys haven't been at it for that long, but have some kind of uber refined palette when it comes to fine house music creations. You can get a taste of what I am blabbering about with their new "Sliced n Diced EP" out now on Flapjack Records.
The first bit on the checklist is the soulfoodful tune "All The Love" ft. all star vocalist and sous chef Adaja Black. A good mouthful of this tune rolls off the tongue with it's amazingly tasty hook vocal that will make you sing praises to the gods who created taste buds, and sexy house music. This tune gives me a big rubbery one just thinking about it. Nothing some whipped cream couldn't stifle.
Next up is another soulfire skillet of house music munch called "Someway" which grabs you right in the pit of your stomach and makes you salivate like a dog. It's delicious vocal will get you singing and doing that goofy dance that little kids do when they have had too much sugar. You won't need any Red Bull to get you going when you hear this tune.
Not only to quench your thirst, but also double as a smooth laxative, Frankie J butters up "Someway" with his "Bad Bwoy Bump" remix. This tune has some bass that will rumble through to your bowels and clean your colon better than any store bought laxative could.
The last bit on the list is a plate of funk steak called "Pickin Up The Pieces". This bit grabs you right in the money and feeds the ravenous dogs of your burning loins with its up n jumping thump. A perfect beat for a treat.
Flapjack
Records graduates to it's 6th vinyl release by getting knee deep in the
beat kitchen with Lisboa, Portugal's new jacks Mark & Stevens. These
two gifted groovesmiths have such a refined palette when it comes to digging
deep but staying staying way above ground.Their first EP "Discorder" is like a
sweet port wine that you swish all around your mouth because the taste is so
delicious you don't want to swallow. Then when you eventually do swallow, you find out that the after taste
is even better.
The first sip is the soul grabber "This
Is The Life".This tune is
built on a nice n deep funk body, with a vocal that you will be singing all the
way to the winery and back.It pairs
well with almost any meal and lingers.
"Discopetry" is the
confirmation that what you just tasted is the really as good as your taste buds
just told you it was.Slip into the
smooth comfort of some deep disco vibes as you sip your way into the groove of
this EP.
The third sip "I Like To Be Me",
is like heaven on your taste buds.By
now this EP has really gotten to your head, and this tune is the sip that makes
you feel warm and fuzzy all over.
The last sip, "Everybody Funk",
is the one that sends you into a frenzy and looking for more. The great thing about this record is that it
never runs out, unlike a fine bottle of port. But like port, this EP is even more amazing with some dark chocolate.
This DIGITAL release is
available NOW exclusively at the following location: Stompy.com
Flapjack Records get down and dirty making mud pies with UK corner store hooligans The Sound Diggers. Their debut EP on Flapjack Digital"Grab A Shovel EP" lends to the filthy house music stylings and bad table manners that have gotten them banned from many restaurants across the globe. Just because you play dirty doesn't mean that your taste isnt exquisite though. The "Grab A Shovel EP" proves just that with its wide array of palette pleasing pleasures.
The EP breaks ground with the dirty bass line banger "Funk Struck". This tune makes bass bins everywhere shit their pants. If you can imagine what that looks like and sounds like, then internally you may lose your lunch, but aurally you will cream out your ears.
The second dig is wicked funky space time continuum jam "Groove To It". The Sound Diggers shovel up a bunch of funk onto a silver platter of bounce seasoned with some nasty good booty shake and a garnish of get the hell up and dance. Don't worry though because after a plate of this you will still have room for some more.
The next pile is a mound of "The Jizz Jacka". Some smooth jazz all over your face is necessary to healthy skin. This tune provides not only a nutritious meal, but a slice of silky smoothness that makes you want to rub all up.
The final shovel full leaves you with Jeff Blooms take on "The Jizz Jacka (PO!NTF!VEs Rub-It-Out Mix)". With some added scat ingredients and crushed red beats, Jeff works up a steam filled kitchen frenzy. His spice is oh so nice and leaves this EP with a hotness on the tongue, not to mistake pleasure from pain.
Flapjack Records jumps across the pond once again to
a land where "flapjacks" aren't synonymous with pancakes. To explain this phenomenon we turn to native Pete Le Freq to find solace in his new
EP "The
Dalai Llama EP".Pete Le Freq, the man behind the Llama Farm imprint has been battering
up dance floors with jackin animal style beats for some time now. When I say "animal style", I am not talking
about the secret items on the In & Out Burger menu, but his natural animal
instincts that lead him to such buttery bass lines and flapjackin beats.
The first
cut "Indecisive"
is as tantalizing to the dance floor taste buds as a melted butter and maple
syrup all slippery and delicious over a plate of flapjacks. If you are feeling indecisive about this
tune, the bass line and vocal alone will change your mind.
In round two
we add another whole stick of bass line butter to the batter with "Dubby
Goo To Me".Pete's penchant for
bass continues as this tune really works it out. This tunes fresh beets, buttery bass, and a
delicious vocal topping are surely to leave some messy stains on the dance
floor.
"Own Thing" is a nice phat slice of the UK house
sound.Pete serves up an over sized
piece of that smooth but jackin with a bit of tech sauce sound that our UK
comrades do so well.I always like to
add a little bit of some warble in my synth reduction.
Last but not
least is the suggestive "Maybe Eat".I think I will, thank you very much. This delicious drop comes again with the
funky bass line bizness and the famous "can you dance to my beat" vocal.Hungry dance floors will surely jump at this
tasty morsel.

Yeah, so it has been crazy hectic around Spatula City and Flapjack Records with a mad fury of promos coming in, going out, not to mention fending off killer zombies, smuggling Tim Tams out of Australia, and among the melee....forgetting to brush my teeth. So finally at the close of the Winter Music Conference I give you:
