The overwhelmingly awesome internet gods have finally granted Flapjack Records their own super spiffy download site.  Why have your own download shop you ask?  Well here are the perks that not only benefit Flapjack, the artist, but you as well!  Check out these features:

-Pre-release Promos @ regular pricing - yep, because now that we don't have to split the sales with any digital distributor or shop, we can keep the pre-release price at the regular rate.  This will also benefit the real fans of the label who hang out on the site and support the music.

-Multiple File Formats all @ same low price - yep yep, because of our great back end providers, you will only pay one single price for a digital download and choose whether you want a 320 kbps MP3, FLAC (=.WAV), MP3 VBR High, MP3 VBR Low, AAC High, AAC Low, Ogg Vorbis, or an ALAC file.  I know it's absolutely nuts!

-Metadata Included in all files - yep yep yep, so instead downloading a file that says "supertaketrack3_master.mp3" you will get a file that is nicely labeled that includes artwork in the tag/icon as well as the artist, title, and album info listed nicely within the file

-Discounts! - yep yep yep yep, this store allows us to issue discount codes, free give-aways, buyer names the price, and many other great option that will be fully taken advantage of in the near future.

-Artist & Label Direct Support - yeppity yep yeppersauce, since we don't have to pay any splits, the money from each track sold directly benefits the label which directly supports the artist through their royalties.  This will only ensure more great music to come and food for the mouths of our starving artist.

-It Looks Cool - totally, so check it out:

FLAPD09: Chris Robson - "What Is" OUT NOW EVERYWHERE @ Reg. Price

Flapjack Records is thirsty to thwack:
FLAPD09: Chris Robson
"What Is"

A. Your Time Baby
B. What Is
C. Start Playin'
D. Thinking About You
this remix just added by popular demand for extra flavor:
E. Your Time Baby (Times Up Mix)

Flapjack Digital is bubbly to announce the addition of Newcastle, England's brew master Chris Robson to the Flapjack list of culinary creations.  Mr. Robson brings quite a nice twist to the wonderful musical tastiness of the Flapjack family kitchen with his "one and only" Newcastle Brown Ale style beats.  Cool and refreshing, with a nutty after taste, his new EP "What Is" ultimately quenches the thirst of even the most parched disc jockey.

"Your Time Baby" is brewed to perfection with it's get up and move rhodes rhythm, sexy saxophone, and poppin beats.  As the song suggests, don't waste your time on other brews, when you know this is the one that will pop off on the dance floor.

The title track "What Is" is what made Newcastle famous in the first place.  Back in 1927 when this brew came to fruition, they were all sitting around rocking this tune on their gramophones.  Make no mistake that this tune was the inspiration that put bubbles in beer.

"Start Playin'" is the brewmeister's secret ingredient that makes for the mad booty shakin'.  Solid beats, classic sample cuts, and a bangin' bass line add up like 9 lbs. of Maris Otter 2 Row malt, 2 oz. of Chocolate malt, 2 oz. of Crystal malt (60L), and 1.5 oz. of Black Patent malt to give you a potion for motion.

The last sip, "Thinking About You", leaves you battling a trip to the bar for another one vs. staying sweaty and thirsty on the dance floor.  If only the dj was a bartender, and the dj booth was the bar, then this wouldn't be a problem.

FLAP005: Wattie Green - "Sea Lion Woman" OUT NOW DIGITALLY @ Regular Price

Flapjack Records is solid to suppose:
FLAP005:
Wattie Green - "Sea Lion Woman"

A1. Sea Lion Woman
A2. Mid Tenn Strut
B1. Sea Lion Woman (Real Time Hand Motion Remix)
B2. Bob Speaks (Bryan Jones Remix)

Flapjack Records celebrates its 5th glorious vinyl release by presenting us with Nashville, TN's cave jumping, banjo blasting wonder: Wattie Green.  In the last year Wattie has become somewhat of a common household name.  His fine mid Tennessee cooking can be found in most dj's recipe boxes.  On this edition of Flapjack Records, Wattie Green gives us the kitchen floor filler "Sea Lion Woman EP", which has been long awaited by many householders this whole last year.

The title track "Sea Lion Woman" is an instant classic.  The vocal on this track comes from an old playground rhyme that is unbelievably catchy, full of soul, and even incorporates the original 1939 recording.  This vocal over Wattie's signature beats and bass line mix perfectly like eggs, flour, and sugar, adding more cookies in the cookie jar.

"Mid Tenn Strut" is swing time Wattie specialty.  This tune sets the tone with a jackin' piano base, wily jazzy guitar lead center, and fresh saxophone frosting.  Wattie's niche sound is basted all over this delicious delight.

On the flip side we have our other Tennessee favorites Real Time Hand Motion who take "Sea Lion Woman" to the next level with there smoothed out soul remix.  An excellent addition contrasting the original but adding so much more flavor.

Last but not least is Flapjack veteran Bryan Jones remixing the previously released digital exclusive "Bob Speaks"Bryan's walking acoustic bass line remix drives home and then back out to the store for some more fixins to fill up the whole family.  A perfect mix to round out the meal and a great savory and sweet release to kick off the new year.

FLAPD08: Jeff Service - "The Trapper Keeper EP" OUT NOW DIGITALLY @ LOW PRICE

Flapjack Records is totally radical to rock:
FLAPD08: Jeff Service
"The Trapper Keeper EP"

A. All The Way Down
B. I Love Gooooold
C. So Fresh

Flapjack Records is back with another totally rad release!  Recently raising his D&D status from noob to uberjock, rising star Jeff Service delivers a level 5 magic spell of a release on us that blasts us back to the 80's.  "The Trapper Keeper EP" takes us back to high hair, tight rolled jeans, slap bracelet envy, and summer camp flirt fests.  Don't forget the invention of Fresca and Mr. T cereal....a match made in breakfast food heaven.

The "A" for awesome cut "All The Way Down" is a total winner.  Such a tasty eighties vocal in this piece that just melts in your mouth and not in your hands.  Every time I hear this cut it's like hearing the lunch bell ring an knowing that there is a delicious fruit roll-up of unbelievable taste and texture on the other side of the lunchroom doors.  Mmmmm mmmm mmmm!

The "B" for bodacious cut "I Love Gooooold" is a perfect representation of the materialistic extravagance of the eighties.  I have heard accounts of people that buy this song, play it, become immediately filthy rich, and their food tastes better.  It also makes for a wealthy dance floor ;)

The "C" for cool cut "So Fresh" is testament to the "fresh" style of the eighties.  Who can forget just how cool everyone looked?  I know I can't!  I still have nightmares that I wake up in a Taco Bell commercial wearing parachute pants.  But those would be the most appropriate pants to be wearing while I am busting out a crazy helicopter move while break dancing to this tubular tune.  All in all, this release is totally radical man, and word to your mother.

FLAP004: Frankie J vs. Sonny Fodera OUT NOW DIGITALLY

Flapjack Records is fandangled to feature:
FLAP004:
Frankie J vs. Sonny Fodera

A1. Frankie J - Got This Feeling
A2. Frankie J - Got This Feeling (Sonny Fodera Remix)
B1. Sonny Fodera - Homebaked
B2. Sonny Fodera - Homebaked (Frankie J Remix)

Flapjack Records is super stoked to present it's 4th vinyl edition. In this episode we have Flapjack front man Frankie J, who has recently earned himself honorable mention in the completely made up Breakfast Foods Quarterly for his solid recipes during The Sound Republic era alongside solo releases and remixes on Spatula City & Flapjack. This release also features Adelaide iron chef Sonny Fodera, fresh off his two smash releases from Drop & Guesthouse wasting no time in the kitchen with his slammin' joints. Together these two somalies of syrup bring you a maple syrup conglomerate of dynamite proportions.

On the sunnyside we have Frankie J's vocal jam "Got This Feeling". This tune rides a wicked vocal that you could just wake up to in the morning. It's like starting your day with a complete breakfast that will keep you singing all day. Watch out for the wicked key solo as its so nasty it may give you indigestion. Sonny Fodera's mix takes an already great recipe and makes is twice as nice with his bassline techniques. Smooth as french silk but still jackin is the way of this samurai.

On the overeasy side we have Sonny Fodera's bassline bananza "Homebaked". If you like in your face slappa da bass mon, then this tune is your jack. It's unbelievably driving funk bassline played by Sonny himself can chop down trees like a lumberjack on goofballs. The tune is a dinner bell peak time call to the dancefloor ringer. Frankie J's mix compliments the funk nicely with just the right amount of spice. A little bit of some sexy sax mixed with some piano licks and the right amount of jump up, bakes a bumpin "Homebaked" remix. If you like hot breakfast, then don't sleep in and miss this tastey ticket!!!
