For every vinyl release I have pressed, I get a few white label test pressings to listen to ahead of time to be sure that there are no flaws in the pressing and the music sounds good to go. They I give the plant my blessing and the release is pressed with artwork and packaged for distribution. I get these test pressings about a month or more before the release hits the stores. I don't need them all so I am giving you guys the chance to get them ahead of the game if you really want them.

I am going to try and offer these for every Flapjack & Spatula City release that I can from now on. I will only advertise these on the websites and that is it (no other blogs, forums, or email blasts). This way the people who regularly support the labels and stop by the site have the chance to grab these test pressings. I just got these today (it sounds great!) and you can grab the (3) that are for sale at The Factory Outlet Specialty Goods Store.

It's been a long time coming, but finally after years of scientific research and industrial design from the depths of the Flapjack Institute of Awesomeness located in an undisclosed location in Antarctica comes......drum roll please......The Flapjack Factory Outlet Store!!!

The store is packed full of great Flapjack & Spatula City logos and designs that are printed on loads of cool products including:

T-shirts - Fully customizable in size, color, and style. This means click on the shirt you like, and change it to be printed on a raglan, a ringer, or even American Apparel regular and fitted shirts are offered. Then choose from the color selection and size that you want. There are over 60 styles of t-shirts, so you are bound to find the style you love to wear.

Hats - We have both trucker hats and embroidered hats. Go through and choose the color hat that best suits your noggin.

Drinkware - Totally awesome printed coffee mugs, travel mugs, beer steins, and frosted glass beer mugs. Excellent for the office and home use (not referring to the beer glasses unless that's how you role!)

Stickers - Wicked awesome 11"W x 3"H bumper stickers made from thick vinyl to last forever as well as the scratch resistant 1-1/2" & 3" circular stickers. Stick em on everything.

Neck Ties - Up here at the Flapjack Records LLC office everyone is required to wear their favorite Flapjack neck tie. This is the only way to impress the boss. Also great on dates and funerals!

Mousepads - Give your mouse a much need friction friend that will create a loving atmosphere on your desk. Make your mouse purr.

Skateboards - This is my favorite section being a skater myself. Check out all the wicked skateboard decks we offer and choose from the wide array of deck sizes and styles from mini to comp to 70's style decks.

Other Crap - There is a ton of other cool stuff including Birthday/Greeting cards, Keychains, Aprons, Canvas Bags, Buttons, and Pet Clothing.

"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, slap my honey on some flapjacks and if you touch mine, I jack you in the face." Those are the famous words of the inventor of the "Rope-A-Dope" style, Muhammad Ali. As awesome as it would be to have him on the next Flapjack Digi, he was a boxer, not a dj, although some say he danced in the ring. Flapjack Digi #7 is called "The Rope-A-Dope EP" though, and come from Sweden's own, now Brooklyn transplant Emil Lanne. This EP is everything you want in a well rounded morning munch with a lotta punch!

Emil cooks up a soul grabber with his first cut "That's The Way". With funky sax licks, key licks, and the unforgettable "that's the way ya got to go, put ya hands in the air when I say so" vocal hook, there is no way to keep yourself from spilling all over your Sunday bests.

"Champagne Poppin", the most recent addition to the menu continues this jack journey with a little of the old bubbly. A fine smooth groove that makes you want to pop on your tuxedo and make a black tie affair of it.

"The Leg Up" is a straight up disco funk feel good flapjackin jam! This is the tune that landed Elvis on the moon and Emil Lanne on Flapjack. This tune is do superior that it could satisfy the appetite of the king.

Last but not lunch is "Honey". A spoonful of this cut goes great in your tea, on bread, and wonderful to dip your chicken nuggets in. I definitely want to dip mine in it. "Honey" is a perfect bouncer to round out an outstanding four star meal. I fully recommend that you call ahead and make reservations for the "Rope-A-Dope EP" as its bound to fill up quick.

Hahaha, the above article from The Onion, says it like it is. I totally just had this exact experience last night at one of the local watering holes in my neighborhood. The day before Thanksgiving (Black Wednesday) is regarded as the biggest drinking night of the year at the bars because everyone is home for the holiday. So I made my way out only to have one after another uncomfortable encounters with people I haven't seen since High School. The funny thing is that tomorrow (Black Friday), is going to be a repeat performance of yesterday because my rock band is doing a gig at the other happening bar in the neighborhood.

For those of you who don't about Thanksgiving in the U.S., it's the yearly celebration commemorating the pilgrimage of the pilgrims who fled Britain for the U.S. which led to the start of the country. Anyway, we get days off from work for it, and everyone gets together with their families and feasts on copious amounts of turkey and gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and mmm mmm all kinds of great eats.

so yeah, even if this doesn't apply to you....
